Beloved friends,
Many people went to sleep last night but they didnt wake up , Some of them went to work but dint return home, But if you and I are still alive it is because of one reason that God is fullfilling His purpose in our lives. We are not just existing but we are here for a purpose and it is very important for us to know what this purpose is.
I wish to start with the Gospel Of Matt. 25/14- 30. In this parable Jesus speaks about the lazy servant who didnt use what his master had given him. This parable brings one revelation to my mind. When Christ Jesus comes to take us home and we will be standing before the King to be judged by Him, He will not judge us as per the sins that we may have commited but we as christains will be judged on the basis of our obediance to Him. For as far as sins are concerned He has already forgiven us but as for obediance He has left that choice to us.
Let me explain. When Christ rose from the dead He commissioned His disciples to go and spread the Gospel. And for this purpose He sent the Holy Spirit to be with them to help them. Do you belive that you have the Holy Spirit in you ? than you must also know that when the Holy Spirit comes He will never come empty handed He will always come with His gifts. Just like the Master who gave talents to his servants. And this gifts are meant to be used for the greater Glory of God. Now nobody can say that "I dont have any gifts so let me just remain quite go to church go for prayer meeting. Feel good during the anointing session. Thats all". No my dear friends. We are all called for His Divine service. Pulpit is not the only place where you can serve Him. If you know what His will for you is He can use you any where.
First time when the Lord called me. Deep in my heart I knew He had called me to evangelise and that call was burning like fire in my bones. BUT - I had chronic problem of stattering (i.e speaking very fast) and because of this i bluntly said no to His call. At the very thought of evangelising I would be littrally overcomed by fear I would say "Lord I will wipe the chairs, broom the hall and do anything which does not involve speaking" and I had been doing this for 8 long years not that it is not God's work but it was not my call. Just like Jonah I had been running away from my call. But the fire in my bones never went out, and today the Lord in His mercy is using me to preach His Word. It was only when I realised God's will for my life and gave my obediance to Him. It was then that He transformed me from a stammerrer into a preacher.
Dear friends the Lord says in Ep 2/10 that even before creation God has already prepared a way for the good works in which we should walk. We all choose to walk in our ways thinking that it is good and it is right. But my dear friends God's way is the only way which is good for us. Then we might say "how do I discern which is God's way for me" ?
Come with me to Is 55/8-9 - The Lord says that our ways are not His ways because our thoughts are not His thoughts. If we want God's way to be our way than we have to think like Him. Right from the time we were born till the time we met Christ we had been exposed to the things (ways) of the world and our minds had been moulded according to the world. This the reason we are not able to grasp the things (ways) of Christ because we find them contrary to the way the world thinks. And for this there is only one solution Rom 12/2 "Do not be conformed to this world but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that you may prove what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect".
To know the will of God I need to have the mind of God and I can have the mind of God through the Word of God. So it is than. No Word of God in our lives, than no thoughts like God, And if we have no thoughts like God in our lives than we dont know what is God's will for us, and if we dont know what is Gods will for us than we are lost.
My beloved friends dont burry the gifts that God has given you, it is to spread His Kingdom. One day we will have to give an account for His gifts. So work hard to study His Word to know His will for your life the time is short my friends. Till then stay blessed
